Major Joseph C. Benner, Class of 1975, died on 10 December 1987, while assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Heavy Squadron, Fairchild AFB, Washington. Most recently, he was a senior pilot in the KC-135. He had been serving as flight commander in his flying squadron. During his distinguished career, he earned the Meritorious Service Medal and two Air Force Commendation Medals. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his son, Joseph; his daughter, Margaret; and his mother, Mrs. Mina R. Benner of Janesville, Wisconsin.
