John & Sheri Saxman: My wife and I left Yorktown, VA on our boat on 3 May 2015 and as of this writing [29 September 2015] we are 149 days, 2469.3 miles, 112 locks into our journey to Colorado. Having traveled up the East coast, Hudson River, St Lawrence seaway, the heritage canals of Canada, Lakes Ontario, Huron and Michigan, the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, we are now near St Louis hoping to find the secret passage to C-springs. We fear we may have to abandon our boat and proceed by land at this point. |
