"Meandering Taxiways. In the spring of 1946, while the foundation for a new stall and cinder block hangar was being laid, the pilot of a 65 hp Aeronica Champion taxis off for a takeoff at Pine Valley airport. The taxiways followed the path of least resistance to the north-south runway. The photo was taken from the roof of the original wooden hangar. Pikes Peak looms in the background." |
